ABOUT CGS: Within a prepared environment (atrium), children and catechists together nurture their relationship with Jesus. Presentations based on the Bible and Liturgy help the children encounter the living God. This approach to nurturing the faith life of children evolved from children themselves and is based on the conviction that God and the child are already in relationship; the task before us is to help the child deepen that relationship. CGS uses a Montessori approach for religious formation. Catechists receive 90+ hours of training before leading a CGS class. The Catechesis of the Good Shepherd is a religious education method where children explore with hands-on materials to understand the Bible and the Mass to develop a relationship with Christ the Good Shepherd. For a better understanding of the program, we suggest viewing the short introduction video below.
