List of Service Opportunities for our Youth

Catechist Aide: High school student who would like to help with a faith formation class

Children's Liturgy of the Word: assisting during 9:45 and 11:30 masses

Senior Helper: Class of 2027 students who wants to volunteer with Confirmation or another grade level

Coffee and Donuts: serving after morning Masses on EYM service days

Retreat Team: Junior High Retreat October 9-11, 2026 at Stoney Creek Ranch

Katy Christian Ministries - Oct. 24th 7:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m.

• Volunteers will be helping to assemble cardboard boxes, sorting and packing food in the boxes, and taking them to the recipients in their cars.

 
Important things to note: 
Volunteers' footwear should cover the heel and toes. No Crocs, flip flops or sandals please. Tennis shoes are fine.
Volunteers at the Food Center will be working outdoors, and in an outdoor covered area, please dress to help protect from the elements.
Volunteers must be at least age 13, and volunteers ages 13-15 must have at least 1 chaperone to 5 minor volunteers. 
 
KCM encourages each of us to register as volunteers to help verification of service hours (see below).
      Katy Christian Ministries Volunteer Registration Steps:
 

• Go to our website KTCM.org Katy Christian Ministries - Katy Christian Ministries/KCM
• Click on the Volunteer tab.
• Click on the Group Volunteers tab for individuals in a group.
• This will lead to a form to set up a VOME account to register as a KCM volunteer.
• We will assign the New Volunteer Onboarding Sequences when you submit your application. Please expect an email informing you when we do.
• When the steps above, as well as the New Volunteer Onboarding Sequences are complete, volunteers' VOME accounts will be auto-assigned various opportunities to reserve shifts. 
• You may download the VOME app after registration is complete.

Fall Fest: help with set up of the annual Fall Festival. November 7th.

Blood Drive - Help with Sign Ups before and after Mass on Oct. 25 & 26, Nov. 1

Blood Drive - November 8th. Help with PAC set up, signage, and clean up.

Parish Service Day - November 14th!

Frosty Fest: First Saturday in December (5). Help with vendor set up, serving concessions, working the EYM table.

Christmas Tree Lighting - December 10th

Confirmation Retreat  - January 22-24, 2025 Stoney Creek Ranch

Knights of Columbus Lenten Fish Fry - Feb. 12, 19, 26, March 5, 12, 19

April 4 - Parish Easter Picnic and Egg Hunt
